Job summary

Black Eagle Defense seeks an experienced System Administrator to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT infrastructure across UNIX and Windows environments, ensuring reliability and performance while supporting day-to-day and escalated issues. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in similar roles, a Bachelor’s in a technical field (or equivalent experience with degree substitution), and DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher certification.

DevOps and AWS familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of System Administrator experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or five years of additional relevant experience substituted for the degree).
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Maintain IT infrastructure, including client/server, storage, and network devices.
• Deliver Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, escalating as needed.
• Provide detailed status updates and assist users accessing IT systems.
