Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Software Engineer specializing in embedded software for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers. The role focuses on translating requirements into working, maintainable solutions across the SDLC and coordinating with stakeholders to scope tasks.

The candidate will be part of a Scrum team, setting direction for product and infrastructure development, with responsibilities spanning analysis, design, implementation, and testing of embedded software.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of experience; graduate degree with 2+ years, or 10 years with no degree.
• 3+ years of experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware.
• Experience using an RTOS such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering team as an embedded software subject matter expert.
• Investigate root-cause and implement solutions with team.
• Apply CS/engineering concepts in software for target hardware.
• Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate hardware/software interfaces.
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle from requirements to testing.
• Develop software test plans and procedures and technical docs.
• Use modeling and prototyping to establish operating data and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews and repair defects.
• Use C/C++ and Python for embedded real-time OS.
