Job description

Seventh Sense Consulting (SSC) is seeking a Capture Manager (CM) to support our Corporate Development Organization. The CM will work with internal Corporate Development staff, business unit Service Delivery Executives, and outside vendors/partners to help execute against the SSC Information Technology (IT), Program Management (PMO), and Professional service offerings growth goals. The CM will be responsible for managing the entire Business Development life cycle process across DoD. Tasks associated with this role will include opportunity identification, teaming analysis and scope definition, competitive intelligence & assessments, development of marketing materials, capture planning, writing of white papers and RFI responses, win theme workshops, and proposal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and shape prospective IT, PMO, and professional services contracts for qualification
  • Strategize on win themes aligned with customer’s critical needs
  • Plan and participate in capture activities, to include black hat sessions and color team reviews
  • Develop strategic account plans for targeted agencies.
  • Develop sales and capture strategies working with internal personnel and partners to qualify and successfully develop winning proposal bid.
  • Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities for assigned accounts and lead the capture effort for qualified opportunities.
  • Represent SSC at conferences and events
  • Develop and execute capture plans for the pursuit and capture of key opportunities.
  • Obtain market as well as competitive intelligence and develop solution, teaming and pricing strategies.
  • Participate in bid decisions, develop and present the opportunities at phase/gate reviews for approval.
  • Lead the development and evaluation of technical content and contractual compliance of proposals.
  • Partner with operations to develop winning strategies.
  • Participate in the proposal process and provide recommendations for improvement of quality/content.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a technical field and 8 years of relevant experience Capture and Business Development experience
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers
  • A track record of leading large (>$100 million) captures and winning those competitions; as well as developing and managing a multiple opportunity pipeline
  • Experience leading teams in a virtual environment; ability to work through others, and get results from teams that do not report directly to you
  • Technical writing and proposal development experience
  • Strong verbal communications and prior experience briefing executives
  • Experience developing account and capture plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of traditional industry capture and proposal process

Skills:

  • Understanding of public sector procurement and business development processes.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of Federal Agencies, the prospective clients, the market, competitors and potential Teaming partners.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of the Federal procurement process.
  • Strong and relevant partner network.
  • Functional IT understanding within marketplace.
  • Experience with CRM tools highly desired (Salesforce)
  • Formal Capture Training highly desired

Salary Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $140,000- $170,000 per year. This range reflects factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, training, certifications, contract-specific affordability, and organizational needs.
