Job summary

Qualifications

• 4 years of specialized DoD budget planning and formulation experience or related budget field.
• SECRET clearance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver''s license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clear, concise written and oral communication with staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop spend plans to support annual and multi-year budget submissions.
• Monitor budget execution to identify spending trends, shortfalls, or surpluses and ensure proper use of funds.
• Analyze execution trends and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to meet obligation targets.
• Compile financial data from databases to prepare recurring and ad-hoc budget reports with timely submissions.
• Prepare budget exhibits using DoD templates with sufficient justification for submissions.
• Analyze funding requests for compliance and assign proper financial accounting structure per local rules.
