Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biomedical equipment technology or engineering.
• Minimum two years as a biomedical equipment technician.
• Experience applying electronics to diagnose failures and system configuration.
• Familiarity with DoD/DoW, safety regs and regulatory standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medical equipment per OEM specs and DoD safety regulations.
• Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot using manuals and tools; document updates in DMLSS.
• Assess condition and recommend maintenance or upgrades for equipment.
• Disassemble and replace defective parts; perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide training to medical staff on equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
• Operate government vehicle for service visits and enforce PPE requirements.
• Conduct pre-work safety assessments and implement LOTO procedures.
• Maintain records of maintenance and service history.
