Job summary

Specialty Systems, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our DoD support team at Joint Base MDL.

This desk-based role focuses on acquisition support, researching COTS products, evaluating equipment against requirements, and developing technical and business documentation to support government procurements. Ideal candidates have an electronics background, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to work with SMEs and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 0–3 years experience, or equivalent combination with 3+ years in related electronics.
• Must have a Secret level or higher clearance or be able to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic specifications, engineering documentation, and equipment data sheets and determine whether commercially available products meet defined requirements.

Responsibilities

• Technical Acquisition & COTS Market Research and procurement package development.
• Develop and maintain technical procurement packages, including SOWs, market research, evaluations, IGCE inputs, and other documentation.
• Prepare professional PowerPoint briefings and procurement documents communicating requirements, options, status, risks, and next steps.
• Coordinate with engineers, SMEs, vendors, and acquisition personnel to clarify requirements and support evaluations.
