The DocuSign Application Specialist will support, administer, and optimize DocuSign as an enterprise eSignature platform within a validated and regulated environment.
This role will play a key part in the organization’s migration from Adobe Acrobat Sign to DocuSign, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable eSignature solutions across global business functions.
The specialist will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and platform vendors to deliver reliable eSignature capabilities, maintain system compliance, and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
DocuSign Administration & Configuration
- Administer, configure, and support DocuSign eSignature (and DocuSign CLM if applicable).
- Design, build, and maintain DocuSign templates, workflows, PowerForms, envelopes, and reports.
- Manage settings within the DocuSign Admin Console, including user access and account configurations.
Integrations & Technical Support
- Develop and support DocuSign REST API integrations.
- Support both native and custom integrations with systems such as:
- Document management systems
- Microsoft Power Automate / Power Platform
- Configure and troubleshoot SSO integrations using SAML 2.0 and OAuth.
- Perform log analysis and technical troubleshooting across UNIX and Windows environments.
Migration & Platform Support
- Support the migration from Adobe Acrobat Sign to DocuSign.
- Collaborate with the DocuSign vendor to resolve technical issues and service requests.
- Support platform upgrades, releases, and change management activities.
- Ensure platform performance, uptime, and stability for business-critical operations.
Compliance & Validation
- Support compliance with validated system requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11.
- Assist with audit readiness activities and execution of electronic signature controls.
- Maintain validation documentation, SOPs, technical documentation, and training materials.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work directly with business users to gather requirements and provide solutions.
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs using ITIL-based tools such as ServiceNow.
- Promote best practices and support user adoption across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise eSignature platforms.
- 5+ years of strong, hands-on DocuSign experience in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise with DocuSign Templates, PowerForms, Workflows, APIs, and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience integrating DocuSign using REST APIs, JSON, XML (XSD/XSLT preferred).
- 3+ years of experience configuring SSO using SAML 2.0 and OAuth.
- Mandatory experience working in validated environments (21 CFR Part 11).
- Experience supporting enterprise applications on UNIX and Windows platforms.
- Hands-on experience with ITIL processes and tools (ServiceNow preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to collaborate with business users and meet SLA-driven expectations.
