Job summary

Ardent Staffing Solutions seeks a Documentation & ECO Manufacturing Engineer to support SMT/PCBA and box-build/electro-mechanical assembly operations. You will create and maintain multi-level BOMs, manufacturing documentation, and engineering-change records to ensure accurate product configurations and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-7+ years in manufacturing engineering or configuration management.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs in ERP/MRP/MES/PLM.
• Electronics manufacturing experience with PCBA, cable/harness, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and customer documentation.
• Experience with ECO/ECN processes; CMII preferred.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create, validate, and maintain single- and multi-level BOMs in ERP/MRP/PLM/MES systems.
• Translate engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, and customer documentation into manufacturing BOMs.
• Maintain part numbers, revisions, quantities, units of measure, AMLs, package types, mounting styles, and moisture sensitivity levels.
• Create and release manufacturing documentation, including assembly drawings, work instructions, routers, process flows, and test references.
• Process ECOs and ECNs, maintain revision/effectivity control, and assess impacts to inventory, WIP, open POs, and production builds.
• Resolve BOM and documentation discrepancies with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production teams.
• Support NPI builds, design transfers, configuration baselines, and serialized/lot-controlled BOMs as required.
• Ensure documentation meets customer and regulatory requirements for defense, aerospace, medical, or similar regulated environments.
