County of Lake seeks a seasoned Victim/Witness Program Administrator to lead staff, oversee grants, and ensure compliant service delivery. The role coordinates with law enforcement and community partners to support victims and witnesses, while supervising senior staff and managing program budgets.

Salary: $4,185.88 to $5,087.97 (Monthly)
Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in dealing with victims and witnesses of crimes and providing services within the criminal justice system.
Advanced training in social or behavioral science, criminology, or public administration is desirable.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a current and valid California Driver's License.
Under general direction, to plan, organize, and supervise the work of staff assigned to provide Victim/Witness services in the County District Attorney's Office; to develop community resources for Victim/Witness Program; to represent the Victim/Witness Program with community organizations and agencies; to plan, organize, and administer special grant programs within the District Attorney's Office; and to do related work as required.
This is a single-position management classification responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the Victim/Witness Program and overseeing the administration of special grants programs in the District Attorney's Office. The position provides staff supervision and development of community resources.

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the Victim/Witness Program; selects, trains, evaluates and disciplines subordinate staff; ensures that legislative mandates are achieved; works with the District Attorney in the development of policies and guidelines; supervises Victim/Witness Program personnel; evaluates training needs and plans training activities; works with community organizations to develop resources and appropriate referral services for victims and witnesses; develops methods for explaining and promoting services; maintains liaison with law enforcement agencies; provides professional and technical consultation on program matters; assists in the preparation and administration of the budget for the Victim/Witness Program; prepares and submits District Attorney grant applications; monitors grant program activities, recommending program modifications; gathers and organizes data, ensuring timely submission of requisite grant reports; works with the District Attorney Administrative Coordinator on fiscal requirements and fiscal reporting for grants; performs a variety of Victim/Witness Program and Grant Administration and support functions; provides technical consultation for other Department management staff; represents the District Attorney's Office and the Victim/Witness Program with the public, community organizations, and other agencies.

County employees are members of the State-wide Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) which provides generous retirement benefits. The County contributes the full payment of the employee's share to PERS equal to 7% of the modified gross for Miscellaneous employees.
