Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s License.
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, psychology, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a closely related field.

Four (4) years of full-time professional experience working in a public or private agency mental health, health services, or social services program, including two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity.

This management-level classification is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, evaluating, and managing comprehensive programs and regulatory compliance functions for the Behavioral Health Department. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring that behavioral health services provided by the department comply with standards required by various funding sources. The duties performed, recommendations proposed, and decisions made by the incumbent serve a critical role in maintaining funding for the department as well as assuring quality and appropriate client care.
This is a discrete classification. The incumbent in this management position serves at the pleasure of his/her appointing authority, which means the employment relationship is at-will, and that the County of Lake or the employee may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause.
Receives general direction from assigned management personnel. Exercises general supervision over supervisory, professional, technical, administrative support staff, and other staff as assigned.

Incumbents generally work in a typical office environment with adequate light and temperature. This position may require local and statewide travel, as necessary.
