Document Production Specialist- Health Insurance

Description

The Document Production Specialist is responsible for reviewing and editing health insurance client and member-facing documents, including benefit review and system input, formatting, proofreading, and identifying corrections needed during development and production. Responsibilities include releasing final documents to print vendors for hard copies and web vendors for member access, ensuring compliance with current business, state, and federal requirements. The specialist must resolve production issues and communicate effectively regarding production statuses and issues.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Utilize complex materials and tools to create business and member contracts and documents using templates, such as Master Group Contracts, Certificates of Coverage, and Summary of Benefits.
2. Proofread contracts and documents for compliance with business and regulatory standards.
3. Release final documents to business partners and vendors for claims configuration.
4. Document and report production status to leadership regularly.
5. Analyze information to ensure benefits are accurately reflected in databases and documents.
6. Create contract templates in vendor systems.
7. Write and update job aids and SOPs for leadership review.
8. Contribute to process improvements, workflows, and document enhancements.
9. Work through issues independently or with the lead to resolution.

Skills & Qualifications

• Healthcare insurance experience required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (degrees in English, Marketing, Business Administration preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of materials development, auditing, proofreading, professional writing, or business analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Excel.

Additional Information

The pay range is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, and paid time off. This is a fully remote, full-time position with an anticipated closing date of May 22, 2025.
