Job summary

PTAG, a leading Project Management Advisory & Services firm, is seeking a Document Controller in Binghamton, NY to support our growing team and ensure high-quality project documentation across complex initiatives.

In this role you will develop, implement, train, and audit controlled documentation, manage revisions, monitor distribution, and provide data for management reporting while collaborating with engineers and project leads.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in document management systems.
  • Experience with ProjectWise and SharePoint.
  • Proven ability to manage drawings, procedures, reports under revision control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, train, and audit controlled documentation.
  • Process documents for revision and approval.
  • Monitor distribution and reconciliation of documents.
  • Oversee document control flow for engineering design/submittals.
  • Provide master tracking data for management reporting.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, training, and auditing of all controlled documentation: drawings, procedures, reports, and any other document under revision control.
  • Process documents for revision and approval.
  • Monitor the distribution and reconciliation of process or reference documents.
  • Perform overall document control and flow of engineering design/submittals and processes/reviews
  • Implement master tracking of all packages/deliverables and provide data from this tracking to support management reporting
  • Process, distribute, and maintain controlled documentation using owner document control system
  • Process documents for revision and approval.
  • Monitor the distribution and reconciliation of process or reference documents.
  • Perform overall document control and flow of engineering design/submittals and processes/reviews
  • Implement master tracking of all packages/deliverables and provide data from this tracking to support management reporting
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Associate and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field of work; or a combination of two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thrive in a team environment; be able to assist other document control/program management resources
  • Understanding of design and drafting standards required for the check and release of engineering drawings.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Document Management working with Project Wise and SharePoint.
  • Experience in the functional area under which it will be contracted: Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro and OSG.

Salary Range for Role $60,000 to $72,000

Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
