Job summary

Ferrotec, located in Bedford, NH, seeks a documentation/MRP support specialist to process ECN/ECO packages, enter part numbers into MRP, and manage BOMs. Responsibilities include preparing revisions, updating Oracle, and maintaining documentation in Adept and EDM systems.

Qualifications require a high school diploma with 3 years of experience and basic Microsoft Office skills; Oracle experience is preferred for this role.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Process ECN/ECO packages containing drawings, change orders, change requests, and specifications. Enter all part numbers into the MRP system and introduce forms that departments need to complete for Oracle requests. Create Routings into the MRP system when needed. Run BOM comparison reports. Be able to create BOM’s for First Article, ECN reports, and upload them to customer sites. Report ECN late turnaround time (on time and ahead of time), update ECN reports for better access involving all product lines. Responsible for new projects as needed. Enter new product lines, when applicable, into the MRP system. Process, approve, and upload all forms and drawings that go into EDM SYSTEM (Adept) for all location product lines. Update files in the CQ management system. Create processes and procedures needed for each product line. Update Revisions in Oracle and other changes per request forms (MBC) Make Buy Change Form etc. Ensure all forms are completed and signed by individual departments and filed in Adept libraries for future reference.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Examines and processes Engineering Documentation packages containing drawings, change orders, change requests, and specifications to verify completeness per established document release procedures.
  • Prepares and adds part numbers to the MRP System and works with Documentation management software.
  • Bring discrepancies to the attention of supervision for resolution.
  • Compiles required changes to documents and Oracle.
  • Maintains related files and spreadsheets in an orderly fashion.
  • May perform routine data input tasks with frequent direction and supervision.
  • Utilizes appropriate interpersonal skills in interaction with members of Engineering and other departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Under supervision, confers with document originators or Engineering liaison to resolve discrepancies in Engineering Documentation packages.
  • Accurately inputs item master and bill of material changes to computerized or manual control records, and releases documents through EDM system per product line process.
  • May prepare reports and memorandums.
  • Assembles various Engineering packages containing necessary drawings and documentation pertaining to processes and procedures of product line.
