Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is looking for a warehouse/ dock worker to load and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring proper securing of loads in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, logging shortages and damages, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. HS diploma or GED and US work authorization required; forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, communicate and comprehend English to perform shipping tasks and reports.
• Experience with warehouse, dock, forklift, or pallet jack is preferred.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with regulations.
• Operate dock tools and maintain straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage.
• Verify shipments by labeling and securing freight for loading and unloading.
• Log and report shortages and damages to freight.
• Promote a safe and clean work environment.
