Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a dock worker to sort and handle freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. You will load and unload trailers, verify shipments, and document shortages or damages, while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

This role supports efficient, cost-effective shipments across our network. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prior warehouse or dock experience.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Prior dock/warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail for verifying shipments.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and handles freight in/out of equipment and containers.
• Loads/unloads trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and related tools.
• Ensures freight is secured and documented according to procedures.
• Inspects shipments and notes shortages or damages.
• Maintains a safe, clean work area and follows safety regulations.
