Overview

XGS warehouse dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or using equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift, sorting products, and ensuring trailers are properly loaded. The role involves using barcode scanners and maintaining a neat and organized service center dock.

Responsibilities

• Monday-Friday, starting at 10 AM
• Pay: $19.59 per hour
• Unload delivery trucks transporting merchandise into the warehouse
• Handle freight manually or with tools like lift trucks, pallet jacks, or side carts
• Use scanners to read barcodes on products
• Ensure freight is correctly scanned and routed
• Verify shipping information and label freight accordingly
• Receive, store, and organize inventory
• Inspect merchandise for damage and quality
• Report overages, shortages, and damages
• Sort freight by destination and verify counts
• Maintain cleanliness of the dock area
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience
• Previous fulfillment or warehousing experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work orders
• Strong attention to detail
• At least 18 years old

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Experience operating lift trucks or pallet jacks is desirable
• Frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds; push up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally climb stairs
• Frequently stoop, kneel, or crouch

Environment

Work is primarily in a comfortable office setting, with exposure to site conditions. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required. Safety precautions should be observed at all times.
