Description

At JA Frate, with over 50 years in the transportation industry, we pride ourselves on our on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and our amazing team that makes that happen every day!

We are currently looking for a full-time Dock Worker, Monday through Friday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM to load and unload trailers at our terminal location in Elk Grove Village. Overtime will be required when operationally necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Prepare, inspect, and clean trailers before loading freight.
• Review freight bills for special instructions and inspect freight for damage.
• Complete all tasks in a safe and timely manner and follow all safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 23 years of age or older.
• Minimum 2 years forklift experience, certified preferred.
• Prior cross-dock experience.
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Work overtime as required.
• Must be able to pass Fitness for Duty physical and drug screen.
