Saia LTL Freight in Nashville, TN is seeking full-time and part-time dock/warehouse associates. You will sort and handle freight in/out of over-the-road equipment and containers, operating forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload freight.

Responsibilities include securing shipments, verifying labels, and following DOT regulations while maintaining a safe, efficient workplace. Pay ranges from $26.55 to $30.30 per hour with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Read, write, and comprehend English to perform shipping, reporting, and regulatory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with state, federal, and DOT regulations.
• Operates dock tools to secure and strap freight, maintain straps, bars, airbags, cardboard, and dunnage.
• Loads, recoups, rewraps, and stacks freight as needed.
• Verifies shipments by reading labels and securing freight for loading and unloading.
• Follows established bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, claims-free shipments.
• Logs, reports, and processes shortages and damages to freight.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
