Job summary

Paraco Gas Corp is hiring a part-time Dock/Yard Associate in Bayshore, NY. You will support propane filling, servicing drivers, and maintaining a clean dock and yard area while working outdoors in all weather. Lift and carry heavy loads and perform daily plant inspections.

Preferred candidates have forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic MS Word/Outlook skills to communicate with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 2+ years forklift experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Facility maintenance: keep yard and dock area clean and organized.
• Refill tanks/cylinders and assist with daily plant inspections.
• Fill motor fuel as needed and support drivers in service operations.

Paraco Dock / Yard employees allow our operations to run efficiently by providing support for facility and service operations. As brand ambassadors to Paraco, our dock/yard employees provide memorable, positive, and engaging experiences by providing customer service with propane filling and selling while ensuring our drivers have the tools and supplies necessary to service our customers. The dock/yard employee is an integral member of the Paraco family who brings a positive work ethic to deliver a great customer experience. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will be a critical Gas Production Line Grill Cylinder Dock team member.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Facility maintenance - keeping yard and dock area clean and organized
• Refilling tanks /cylinders
• Daily plant inspections
• Filling Motor Fuel
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds throughout the day a nd bend, climb, reach, & rotate

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of forklift experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
