Job summary

Paraco Gas Corporation in Bay Shore, NY, is seeking a dock/yard team member to support propane filling, customer service, and to ensure drivers have the tools they need to service customers.

You will report to the Plant Supervisor and be a key member of the Paraco family, performing unloading, refilling, daily inspections, and maintenance in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Unload and refill tanks/cylinders at the dock/yard.
• Calibrate scales daily.
• Conduct daily plant inspections.
• Fill motor fuel and support drivers as needed.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.

Paraco Dock / Yard employees allow our operations to run efficiently by providing support for facility and service operations. As brand ambassadors to Paraco, our dock/yard employees provide memorable, positive, and engaging experiences by providing customer service with propane filling and selling while ensuring our drivers have the tools and supplies necessary to service our customers. The dock/yard employee is an integral member of the Paraco family who brings a positive work ethic to deliver a great customer experience. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will be a critical Gas Production Line Grill Cylinder Dock team member.

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Facility maintenance - keeping yard and dock area clean and organized
• Unloading tanks /cylinders
• Refilling tanks /cylinders
• Calibrating scales daily
• Daily plant inspections
• Filling Motor Fuel
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds throughout the day a nd bend, climb, reach, & rotate

Required Skills

• 2+ years of forklift experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
