Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is seeking a Dock Worker to support the warehouse and dock operations in Cleveland, OH. The role involves loading/unloading, sorting donations, and assisting with baling and driving-related tasks to keep deliveries flowing.

You will handle inventory daily, assist truck drivers, and ensure safety and efficiency on the dock. This full-time hourly position pays $15.00 per hour and includes generous benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Ability to judge the distance, speed, and movement of objects.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help truck drivers transport and handle materials, merchandise, and equipment
• Load and unload trailers by hand and sort materials the prescribed way
• Arrange items into compact, secure loads to prevent breakage
• Make sure outgoing ADCs, stores, and support departments are properly equipped
• Exchange propane tanks as needed
• Track, count, and enter warehouse inventory every day
• Handle donations carefully and take them to the right area of the warehouse
• Put trash in the right dumpster or compactor
• Keep the dock and warehouse safe, wear required PPE, and follow all safety and security policies
• End every donor interaction with "You changed a life today, thank you!"

Join us in making a meaningful impact in Cleveland, Ohio! Keep our warehouse and dock running. As a Dock Worker, you'll make sure donations are placed correctly in the warehouse and sorted by season, subcategory, or equipment type. You'll fill donation orders from our stores and load trucks. You'll also help run the dock area and the baling operation.
