Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Opelika, AL is hiring for a Shipping and Receiving role. You will interact with donors, receive donations, and help sort and ship recyclable items in an outdoor setting.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable working in heat, cold, and wet conditions with a team of diverse coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold and wet weather.
• Willingness to work with donors and in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with donors to accept and process donations at outdoor trailer sites.
• Receive newly donated items from the Donations team.
• Sort and ship recyclable items to support environmental goals.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner in varying weather conditions.

What Happens in Shipping and Receiving Anyway?

• Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors

• Work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
