Job summary

DP World in Union City, GA is seeking experienced Dock Safety Coordinators to coordinate daily operations and ensure safe practices on the dock. The role focuses on overseeing truck loading/unloading, maintaining safety communications, and collaborating with the syncreon team to streamline deliveries.

As part of a global, market‑driven organization, you will help uphold safety standards, maintain dock equipment records, and report hazards to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Observe drivers unloading/loading trucks to ensure safe practices and maintain communication with drivers for timely deliveries.
• Report safety hazards and unsafe practices to health and safety leadership.
• Coordinate with syncreon inbound/outbound operations to resolve issues and streamline deliveries via radio and PINC.
• Maintain records of preventative maintenance of dock equipment.
• Walk the yard to identify unsafe practices and hazards; report to health and safety leadership and senior leadership.
• Engage/disengage gladhand lock on trailers.
• Remove and dispose of seals on trailers properly.
• Lift, push, and/or pull dock plate and dock door.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for experienced Dock Safety Coordinators for 2nd Weekdays, based in Union City,GA,to coordinate daily operations. It's an exciting time to join the syncreon team!

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Observe drivers unloading and loading trucks to ensure they follow safe practices. Maintain communication and situational awareness with delivery drivers to ensure the drivers unload and load and deliver goods in a timely manner.
• Report safety hazards, and unsafe practices and procedures to health and safety team leadership
• Maintain open communications with the syncreon inbound and outbound operations team, and resolve issues as they occur to streamline deliveries via radio and PINC
• Maintain records of preventative maintenance of dock equipment.
• Walk the yard to identify unsafe practices and safety hazards. Report problems to the health and safety team leadership and syncreon senior leadership
• Engage/Disengage gladhand lock on trailers
• Remove and properly dispose of seals on trailers
• Lift, Push, and/or Pull dock plate and dock door
• Other duties as assigned.
