Job summary

PSC Group is hiring a Dock Operator in the United States. This full-time outdoor role supports the safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges or ships.

The position offers stability and opportunities to grow within the PSC family. Responsibilities include docking coordination, log maintenance, operating various valves and equipment, and following proper procedures to ensure safe transfers.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training is available.
• May require a valid Driver’s License and/or a TWIC card depending on location.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Wear all required PPE and pass medical exams as needed.
• Speak, write, read fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel.
• Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure events are recorded in chronological order.
• Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual/motor valves.
• Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product.
• Gauges barge and retrieves samples of product from vessel.
• Completes any other duties assigned to complete the job.

• Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel
• Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure all events are recorded in chronological order
• Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual / motor operated valves
• Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product
• Gauges barge and retrieves sample of product from vessel
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
