Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking dockworkers to load/unload trailers, manage freight movement and ensure on-time, damage-free delivery. Responsibilities include planning loads, hooking/unhooking trailers, inspecting equipment, fueling vehicles, and maintaining cleanliness across docks and yards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and being 18 years or older with pre-employment drug screening. Company benefits include a 401k plan and weekly payroll deposits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with or without mechanical equipment.
• Load freight to and from dock and trailers according to Bills of Lading and labels.
• Plan loading of freight to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors and manage landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks, tractors and other equipment.
• Clean and maintain dock and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
