Job summary

Trident Seafoods, Alaska's leading seafood company, is seeking a Dock Foreperson to supervise dock activities, ensure safe loading/unloading, and coordinate cargo movements. The role includes direct oversight of a dock crew, shifting schedules, and maintaining accurate freight documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant dock/loader experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates fish pumps.
• Manages dock crew.
• Trains dock staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Tallies all incoming and outgoing freight and product; records weights and counts.
• Coordinates, prioritizes, supervises, and assists with loading/unloading activities.
• Provides accurate tally sheets and movement reports.
• Ensures dock operations meet environmental and safety policies.
• Oversees dock maintenance and repairs.
• Assists in scheduling deliveries and regulatory reporting.
