Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-5 years of progressive distribution experience.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• 2-5 years of loader (checker) experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Able to communicate honestly and respectfully with all employees and carriers.
• Prior truck loading experience.
• Mainframe, Triceps, and PowerYard experience preferred.
• Ability to recognize, report, and mitigate improper loading techniques.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and facilitate workflow to maximize efficient loading processes.
• Assist in mitigating obstacles during loading (locating pallets, getting pallets picked, trailer issues).
• Must work in a safe manner adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Assist in weekly load audits for quality and accuracy.
• Accountable for all pallets of all commodities staged for loading.
• Assist customer service in investigating missing or mishandled pallets.
• Assist in assembling paperwork and verify proper trailer backing into the dock.
• Assist loaders in loading product on trailers in proper sequence and ensure weight distribution.
• Ensure leave times are met for outbound loads.
• Assist Shipping Specialist with dock workflow management.
• Assist audit team with checks for accuracy and quality of orders.
• May operate forklift, pallet jack, or perform related tasks as needed.
• Must have excellent self-motivation.
