Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division seeks a full-time Dock Associate in Malvern, PA. Accurately and promptly processes all Mail and Distribution Services items with the highest level of customer service, including USPS and courier shipments, tracking, and proper packaging.

This role requires a High School diploma, prior customer service experience, and familiarity with shipping software. Perks include free uniforms and meal plan; work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with a $18.00 hourly

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Relevant prior customer service experience.
Preferred current Dangerous Goods shipping certificate (49 CFR & IATA).
Preferred knowledge of domestic and international shipping guidelines.
Preferred experience using carrier shipping software (UPS, DHL, FedEx).

Responsibilities

Receives, sorts, delivers, picks up and processes courier items, interoffice mail, magazines and all USPS mail.
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Tracks courier and accountable items (FedEx, UPS, Certified Mail).
Packages, labels and processes non-hazardous and hazardous materials with courier software.
Researches and routes unidentified mail.
Coordinates, stages, and transports bulk mail items.
Receives, logs, delivers and tracks messenger items.
Follows client SOPs and processes.
Monitors packages for hazardous materials and responds to inquiries.
Maintains records of customer inquiries and requests.
