Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate machinery.
• Basic math and recording abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from trucks, ships or rail.
• Use loaders, skid steers, and other equipment to transport heavy items.
• Maintain accurate records of received and dispatched goods.
• Inspect cargo for damage.
• Ensure the safe operation of machinery and equipment.
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
• Record cargo information such as weight, charges, and damages.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate loading and unloading operations.
