Job summary

Pero Family Farms is seeking a Dock Lead in Benton Harbor, MI to oversee shipping and receiving on the dock and guide forklift operators and loading teams. This full-time onsite role reports to the Shipping and Receiving Assistant Manager and requires availability for AM and PM shifts.

The Dock Lead will train staff, coordinate carrier dock door assignments, and ensure proper pallet loading, staging, and safety compliance with GMP/USDA/DOL standards in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or greater.
• 2+ years of Dock Experience preferred.
• Lift and Carry up to 25 pounds with frequency.
• Frequent standing; ability to move throughout the warehouse.
• Knowledge of operating warehouse equipment; forklift and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading dock operations in receiving or outbound.
• Train new employees in receiving and/or outbound processes.
• Direct loading and unloading of palletized produce from tractors/trailers.
• Coordinate dock door assignments with Shipping Office staff.
• Prepare cartons for QC weight inspection and coordinate shipment prep.
• Lead team in pallet staging, wrapping, and transport
• Monitor PPE compliance and GMP/USDA/DOL standards.
• Assist forklift drivers and warehouse team as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the dock at shift end.
