Job summary

Goodwill SOLAC seeks a Dock Lead to oversee unloading and movement of donated goods, train Dock Material Handlers, and ensure safety and efficiency on the dock. The role emphasizes protecting merchandise, maintaining organized dock operations, and collaborating with drivers and management to optimize daily routes.

Candidate should have forklift certification or ability to obtain, GPS/Tele-trac knowledge, and strong communication skills; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification or ability to obtain.
• Flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
• Recent knowledge of GPS (Tele-trac) Fleet Management software.
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience.
• Good communication skills; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise unloading and movement of donated goods; sorting as necessary.
• Assist Transportation Supervisor with supervising all phases of Operations (Transportation, Dock, ADC).
• Coordinate daily routes with management to meet customer needs.
• Keep dock area clean and organized.
• Build strong relationships with drivers and customers to handle last-minute schedule changes smoothly.
• Ensure donations are handled without damage or loss; use protective measures.
