Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a capable supervisor to oversee route drivers, coordinate dock and plant routes, and ensure on-time delivery with professional customer service. The role requires a Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, attentive DOT logbook duties, and the ability to travel to off-site locations.

The successful candidate will monitor tickets, address customer concerns until resolution, maintain equipment and grounds, and uphold safety and quality standards across busy work

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with 2 years driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and clean MVR.
• Working knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise route drivers and coordinate dock/plant routes.
• Check customer route tickets weekly and address complaints.
• Maintain dock and equipment cleanliness and safety.
• Operate company vehicle and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Checkscustomer route tickets each week ensuring proper service to customers; able to service customer complaints until Customer Service Representative can make contact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Working knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory and route driving experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Frequently requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching.
• Frequently requires lifting up to 10lbs. and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or moving up to 100lbs.
• Frequent travel to off-site locations is required.
• Work is performed in company vehicles, plant/dock locations, and outdoor environments.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and others and identify potential workplace hazards.
