Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a warehouse associate to load and unload freight from trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks. The role requires attention to DOT regulations, accurate verification of shipments, and maintaining documentation for shortages and damages.

A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential. Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and forklift experience, with certification or hazmat training as a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack.
Forklift certification or hazmat training.
Ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations.
Verifies shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for loading and unloading trailers.
Logs, reports, and processes any shortages and damages to freight.
Promotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
