Job summary

Big Thunder Marine is seeking a Dock Fabrications team member to perform maintenance and repairs on docks and to fabricate and build new docks at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The role requires basic tool use, safe ladder work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and tolerance for outdoor conditions. Training on forklift and welding is a plus, with opportunities in a crew-focused marine environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED recommended.
• Related experience preferred or construction background.
• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class E driver and MO boater’s license.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools and small power tools safely.
• Safely use step and extension ladders.
• Read a measuring tape accurately.
• Perform general construction tasks as needed.
• Bend, reach forward and overhead as required.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work in various Missouri weather conditions.
• Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

In keeping with the mission and values of Big Thunder Marine, and the pledge to maintain our presence as the premier watercraft dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks, Our Dock Fabrications personnel perform general maintenance and repairs for new and used docks, also fabricate and build new docks. At all times the Dock Fabrications personnel work to enhance our customer service experience and create lasting relationships with our clients.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
• Safely use step and extension ladders.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• General construction tasks.
• Must be able to bend, reach forward and overhead.
• Ability to lift and carry up to and possibly over 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions in Missouri.
• Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical office environment with moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environments may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise levels may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
