Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a skilled dock and door technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and install dock and door equipment. You will perform all planned maintenance and ensure equipment reliability for customers.

Welding and mechanical/electrical aptitude are important, as is the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics. You will manage the service van and inventory, and complete paperwork after each job to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Technical school graduate preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and install dock and door equipment.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer dock and door equipment.
• Perform welding.
• Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Process paperwork after completion of each job.
