Job summary

Atlantic Staffing in Castle Hayne, NC is hiring entry level to experienced Dock Builders to construct floating docks for a manufacturing plant. This full-time role offers weekly pay, overtime, and a temp-to-hire path after probation. Expect hours from 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with some Saturdays, and pay based on carpentry experience and tests.

Requirements include reading a tape measure, teamwork, and 2+ years in construction. Steel-toed boots are required; OT is possible for large projects.

Job Title: Dock Builder
Location: Castle Hayne, NC (Floating Dock Manufacturer)

Atlantic Staffing is hiring entry level carpenters to build floating docks for a manufacturing plant in Castle Hayne, NC. If you enjoy working outdoors, with your hands, and have construction/carpentry experience, we want to hear from you!

Position Details for the Dock Builder:

• Full-time, Weekly Pay, Overtime!

• Temp-to-hire after probationary period

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5 PM and some Saturdays, 8 AM - 2 PM

• Pay: Based on CARPENTRY experience & Passing Both Tape Measure Tests & Verbal Tape Test
• $15 hr / 0 - 1 yr exp - 5 min time limit on 4 page tape test / miss 7 fail + 100% Verbal
• $16 hr / 1 - 3 yr exp - 5 min time limit on 4 page tape test / miss 7 fail+ 100% Verbal
• $17 hr / 3 - 5 yr exp - 5 min time limit on 4 page tape test / miss 7 fail+ 100% Verbal
• $18 hr / 5+ yr exp - 100% on All Written w/5-minute time limit & Verbal w/out looking

Responsibilities of the Dock Builder:

• Work in a partially outdoor environment, using tools such as hammers, drills, and impact drills.

• Move and stack heavy materials (up to 75 lbs by yourself or more with help).

• Perform general clean-up duties.

• Exposed to varying weather conditions.

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements of the Dock Builder:

• Must read and use a regular tape measure (pass pre-employment written and verbal tape measure tests).

• Ability to follow instructions, work well with a team, and maintain & follow safety standards.

• 2+ years of construction-related experience strongly preferred. (roofing, framing, carpentry, etc.).

• Steel-toed boots required (you must provide).

• Reliable transportation and great attendance is required.

• Overtime Required as needed for large projects.
