Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas is looking for a Dock Attendant to support the marina team by assisting boaters and customers and helping with dock operations.

The role requires good customer service, a willing attitude, and the ability to swim and lift up to 30 pounds. Bilingual candidates are preferred, with availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Description

The Dock Attendant is responsible for assisting the marina team in order to serve marina customers and guests by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to general operation of the docks and assisting boaters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide SHM members with the best experience possible
• Greet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional character
• Help orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questions
• Assist customers with general boating needs
• Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management
• Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times
• Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations
• Availability to work overtime when required
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely around the water
• Must be able to swim
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Fully bilingual
• Any skills considered standard that a Dockhand should possess
