MPI is seeking a DOB Civil Superintendent to oversee Public, Institutional and MTA construction projects in Manhattan. You will implement planning, cost control, and risk strategies with the project team and report to the Senior Construction Manager.

Requirements include an active NYC DOB Superintendent license and 7+ years on NYC public or institutional builds. Local to NYC and experienced with NYC/MTA projects are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain management, planning, and cost control systems with the project team.

• Coordinate with Subcontractors, MTA, NYC, and public sectors.
• Maintain communications between Client and Subcontractors for timely information flow.
• Assist with project budget preparation.
• Review operation plans, change orders, and pay apps.
• Provide monthly forecasts for projects with costs.
• Identify and evaluate project risks.
• Understand subcontract agreements and PO terms.
• Develop monthly status reports on progress and costs.

DOB Civil Superintendent - Manhattan, NY will be responsible for the oversight and completion of Public, Institutional and MTA Construction projects throughout New York, New York.

Our client is currently a leading General Contractor in the New York City Building and Construction industry. They have been an established for for 30+ years focusing Public, MTA, Insitutional, and higher education new Builds and renovations throughout Manhattan, NY. The client has a fast paced work environment with a very strong work cultural allowing for flexibility and competitive pay.

Description

DOB Civil Superintendent - Manhattan, NY

• Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems in cooperation with the project team
• Assist with pre-construction activities relevant to assigned construction project
• Will report directly to Senior Construction Manager and assist with all duties
• Communicate and organize with Subcontractors, MTA, NYC, and other public sectors
• Establish and maintain communications between Client and Subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely flow of information
• Prepare or assist pre-construction manager with the project budget
• Review and approve Commercial construction operation plans, change order request and pay apps.
• Provide monthly forecasting for all projects, including internal general conditions costs
• Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project
• Remain knowledgeable of subcontract agreements, purchase order terms and conditions, and sub consultant agreements
• Develop and issue monthly status reports to keep management informed on construction progress, direct and indirect construction costs, and other project activities

Profile

DOB Civil Superintendent - Manhattan, NY

• Must have an active NYC DOB Superintendent License
• 7+ years of working on MTA, NYC public or Institutional projects in the NYC Building and Construction industry
• Experience with MTA infrastructure projects is PLUS
• Experience handling 100% of projects
• Local to New York, NY
• Must have experience building in New York City
