Job summary

Eurofins Genomics is seeking a DNA Synthesis Technician I/II to join the Louisville oligonucleotide manufacturing team on a fixed shift. You will operate and maintain DNA/RNA oligo synthesizers and support downstream processing such as pre-treatment and deprotection.

Ideal candidates are organized, self-directed, and capable of working independently in a 24/7 production environment while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum AA degree or equivalent (BS in a science field preferred).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Comfort working under the pressure of a fast-paced, high-throughput production floor.
• Strong team player who works well with others, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to learn basic troubleshooting and minor fixes on oligo synthesizers.
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
• Microsoft Windows and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, run, and maintain DNA/RNA oligo synthesizers (proprietary and commercial platforms such as CFS, MerMade and Biolytic).
• Perform downstream oligo processing, including pre-treatment and deprotection.
• Learn to perform basic troubleshooting and minor fixes on oligo synthesizers.
• Use our proprietary LIMS for daily work, order tracking, and documentation.
• Follow Work Instructions, Checklists, Batch Records, and Logs accurately.
• Maintain production records in compliance with our Quality System.
• Keep your work area and equipment clean, organized, and ready for the next run.
• Follow all safety and regulatory requirements, including proper PPE and hazardous materials handling.
• Complete required training programs, including annual RCRA awareness training.
• Take on additional duties and tasks as assigned based on business needs.
