Job summary

Zymo Research is seeking a Technical Marketing Associate for the DNA Purification product line in Tustin, CA. You will work with commercialization, research, and marketing teams to develop promotional and technical content that explains complex topics to customers.

Ideal candidates have a biology-related degree, strong writing skills, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in nucleic acid purification, cloning, and PCR is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or related field.
• At least one year of life science experience in academic or industrial setting.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Scientific background in biochemistry, genomics, molecular biology, or cell biology.
• Experience with nucleic acid purification, transformation, transfection, cloning, PCR, sequencing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write original copy for marketing collateral.
• Create technical figures and tables for customer content.
• Develop seminars, white papers, application notes, videos and posters.
• Review and summarize scientific literature to support content.
• Assist marketing with art design and layout of promotional material.
• Occasionally perform experiments in the wet lab to support campaigns.
• Provide peer review and oversight for accuracy and quality of content.
• Contribute to value propositions, positioning, and messaging at the solution/product level.
• Assist with marketing campaign execution across channels (email, online, social, mail).
• Coordinate with external partners for marketing initiatives.
• Track results, review analytics, and provide ROI of marketing activities.
