Job summary

Ansa Biotechnologies, Inc. is hiring a temporary contractor for a swing shift (Sunday–Wednesday, four 10-hour shifts, 3:30pm–2:00am) through March 2027 to support our growing DNA synthesis platform.

You will accelerate discovery by developing automated systems and working with chemists, enzymologists, and automation experts in a cross-functional manufacturing team. Responsibilities include DNA product prep, protocol optimization, and scale-up activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of molecular cloning and bacterial cell culture from education or hands-on experience.
• Experience with liquid handling robots (Hamilton, Tecan, Agilent Bravo) and high-throughput manufacturing tools.
• Ability to follow SOPs and operate in a multidisciplinary, deadline-driven setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Routinely start, purify and ship custom DNA oligonucleotide products using a novel enzymatic synthesis technology.
• Contribute to a rapidly scaling manufacturing pipeline by working with a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform reagent and buffer prep, cloning and cell culture purification tasks as needed.
• Operate DNA synthesis equipment and ensure traceability via SOPs and LIMS.
• Collaborate to design and scale next-gen manufacturing systems for Ansa’s growing platform.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
