Job summary

The State of North Carolina's Department of Transportation seeks a Program Coordinator III (S) in District 3 (Nash County) to train and certify school bus drivers and support surrounding areas. A bachelor's degree with two years of related experience is required; CDL endorsements are preferred, along with strong planning and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience teaching in classroom settings and developing lesson plans.
• Experience completing and maintaining reports and files; proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) with P and S endorsements for at least 2 years is preferred.

Description of Work

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC 12/ $47,803.00-$83,479.00

Management prefers applicants with the following:

• Experience providing instruction in a classroom setting
• Experience developing or revising lesson plans
• Experience completing and maintaining reports and/or filesExperience with Microsoft applications
• Previously or currently possess a Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a P (Passenger) and S (School Bus) endorsements for at least 2 years
