Job summary

CEG Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer & DMV Practice Lead to build and lead our commissioning capabilities in the Washington DC metro area. You will win work, lead projects, and mentor staff while ensuring quality across new construction and retrofit programs for federal building projects.

The role emphasizes client relationships, technical leadership, and the growth of a regional commissioning practice committed to energy efficiency and building performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent military experience, in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of commissioning experience leading projects and directing technical staff.
• Proven seller-doer with established DMV market relationships.
• Active ANSI-accredited commissioning certification (e.g., CxA, CCP, or equivalent).
• Experience with analysis of trended field data and statistical analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• Moderate to advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and building envelope systems.

Responsibilities

• Win and grow the region’s book of business, cultivate owner and partner relationships, and lead proposal development.
• Serve as senior client contact and account owner, aligning projects with owner goals.
• Direct and mentor commissioning staff and set regional technical standards.
• Oversee commissioning delivery across new construction and retrofit projects.
