Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff to lead thin-film deposition capabilities across our global manufacturing network.

You will define strategy, drive innovation, and accelerate improvements in yield, defectivity, and cost efficiency for DRAM and NAND technologies. You will mentor senior engineers, shape governance, and promote data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to strengthen manufacturing performance and enable future

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in thin-film deposition processes and related manufacturing applications.
• Strong track record in semiconductor R&D and high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to lead multi-functional initiatives and communicate with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive global strategy for thin-film deposition (CVD/ALD/PVD/epitaxy) and emerging tech.
• Identify performance gaps and lead initiatives to improve yield, defectivity, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with Technology Development and manufacturing sites to qualify and scale new processes and equipment solutions.
• Influence deposition equipment roadmaps with suppliers to improve capability and cost of ownership.
• Lead high-impact technical programs from concept to implementation with measurable business results.
• Develop governance frameworks and knowledge-sharing across the global network.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and strengthen organizational capability.
• Advance data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to accelerate learning and decision making.
