The University of Rio Grande / Rio Grande Community College announces an immediate opening in the School of Allied Health & Exercise Studies for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Director position, at the Instructor rank, beginning the fall semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.

In addition to Program Director duties, this position will teach a minimum of 30 load hours in the academic year and 9 load hours in the summer with advising duties.

Qualifications

• Credential(s) specific to one or more of the concentration(s) offered.
• Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the structure and daily operation of the DMS program.
• Administer curriculum development, review and evaluation for effectiveness.
• Ensure clinical affiliates meet program needs and standards.
• Provide instruction, evaluate students, document progress and review course content.
