University of Rio Grande / Rio Grande Community College announces an immediate opening in the School of Allied Health & Exercise Studies for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program Director position, at the Instructor rank, beginning fall 2026.

The role includes teaching a minimum of 30 load hours in the academic year and 9 load hours in the summer with advising duties.

Qualifications

• Possess credential(s) specific to one or more of the concentration(s) offered.
• Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, and student guidance.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.

Responsibilities

• Structure and daily operation of the DMS program.
• Organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation of curricula.
• Ensuring effectiveness of all clinical affiliates is maintained.
• Provide instruction, evaluate students, document progress, review course content.
