Job summary

Immaculata University seeks candidates for a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director/Associate Faculty in the Department of Health, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences. The role oversees accreditation, curriculum, faculty development, and student success, with a target start date of January 2027.

You will manage clinical education, supervise faculty, coordinate syllabi, and collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure high-quality instruction and patient-centered learning

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with Abdomen (AB) specialty and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) specialty as administered by ARDMS.
• Appropriate credential(s) specific to one or more concentrations offered.
• Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance, and educational theories and techniques.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structure and daily operations of the program, including organization and evaluation of curricula.
• Ensure quality and effectiveness of all clinical affiliates and education centers.
• Promote valid evaluations of students by instructors, managers, staff sonographers, and peers.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor retention and credential pass rates.
• Ensure accreditation standards (CAAHEP) are met and program remains compliant.
• Develop program-specific policies aligning with accreditation requirements.
• Recruit and supervise adjunct and full-time faculty in coordination with the Chair of HNES.
• Assist in student recruitment, advisement, and registration.
• Prepare syllabi annually and coordinate course content to meet program goals.
• Coordinate schedules and assign appropriate faculty to courses.
• Manage labs and facilities to meet learning needs.
• Promote the program through outreach, open houses, and public relations.
