Job summary

DMS Logistics seeks a hands-on Operations Focal Point at our Houston site to bridge the Operations and warehouse teams, monitor on-site cargo activities, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will coordinate with the Air and Ocean Ops teams, upload warehouse data to DWSYS, verify TSA compliance, handle shipping instructions, and support client visits and pricing benchmarks. This is a full-time, on-site role with an 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• AOG weekends may be required and aligned with management.

Responsibilities

• Act as DMS's focal point in IAH, bridging the Operations team with the warehouse team, monitoring and following up on all DMS processes on-site.
• Receives instructions from Air and Ocean Operations team on new processes and notifies the GCC warehouse team.
• Monitors receiving, confirming cargo is correct, and follows up on Cargo Acceptance and Warehouse Receipt issuance per TSA procedures.
• Uploads warehouse data (Cargo Acceptance, WR, Line Item Check report) to DWSYS to generate documents under the DMS brand.
• Ensures legible photos and matching of documentation against cargo details; flags discrepancies or damage.
• Notifies the DMS Operations team by email to proceed with shipment once completed.
• Receives shipping instructions and booking details and coordinates delivery to airport/port with GCC.
• Hands over documents to the warehouse to proceed with delivery within the booking deadline and notifies DMS Operations by email.
• Ensures TSA, C-TPAT, bonded warehouse, and CCSF compliance; checks shipper KSMS status and USPPI/FPPI compliance.
• Prints and checks shipping documents and confirms ITNs prior to departure.
• Serves as the local focal point for client visits at the Houston location and for pricing benchmarking with Commercial and Product teams.

The Operations sector is responsible for ensuring the logistical design of the shipment, closely monitoring the operations of collection, import and export of cargo, in addition to document verification in each country.

Main responsibilities

• Acts as DMS's focal point in IAH, bridging the Operations team with the warehouse team, monitoring and following up on all DMS processes on-site.
• Receives instructions from the Air and Ocean Operations team on new processes (DMS order, tracking number, BOL, cargo documents) and expected arrival date, and notifies the GCC warehouse team;
• Monitors receiving, confirming the material is correct and belongs to DMS, and follows up on Cargo Acceptance and Warehouse Receipt issuance per TSA-required procedures.
• Receives data from warehouse (Cargo Acceptance, WR, Line Item Check report) and uploads it to DWSYS to generate documents under the DMS brand;
• Ensures legible photos (cargo on all 4 sides, scale in kg, stamps, items) and matching of documentation against physical cargo (net weight, serial/part numbers);
• Flags any discrepancy and/or damage found;
• Once completed, notifies the DMS Operations team by email to proceed with shipment.
• Receives shipping instructions and booking details from the Air and Ocean Operations team and coordinates delivery to the airport/port with GCC;
• Hands over documents to the warehouse to proceed with delivery within the booking deadline and notifies the DMS Operations team by email once completed.
• Ensures TSA, C-TPAT, bonded warehouse, and CCSF compliance;
• Checks shippers' KSMS status (known/unknown shipper) and ensures USPPI/FPPI compliance;
• Prints and checks shipping documents and confirms accuracy of ITNs prior to departure.

• Serves as the local focal point for the Commercial and Product teams, including collecting local market data to support pricing benchmarking.
