Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking a DME Coordinator to support the delivery of durable medical equipment and related services for Health Plan members. You will coordinate procurement and ensure referrals meet guidelines, billing instructions, and benefit eligibility.

This role requires strong communication, attention to regulatory detail, and the ability to work with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain timely turn-around times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years in a medical environment.
• Minimum two years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of DME supplies and equipment (prosthetics, orthotics, enteral products, etc.).
• Review and process all referrals for completeness, appropriateness, and medical need.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and benefit eligibility.
• Maintain positive relationships across internal teams and external vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Process reimbursement-related requests and follow up with claims.
• Identify and resolve referral discrepancies related to quantities and codes.
