Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Grove, OK, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology, with duties in the clinical lab and support for supervisor projects.

The role requires an AS or BS in Medical Laboratory Technology and MT/MLT certification (or eligibility), with strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; overtime shifts may be required, and Epic/Media Lab familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
• ASCP MT/MLT certification or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify causes and alternatives.
• Clear and effective communication; team-oriented.
• Ability to manage time, priorities, and delegate.
• Good computer skills; Epic and Media Lab knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

Location: Grove, OK

Hours: Tuesday-Friday 4pm-2am

Essential Functions

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities

Required Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology. ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking and/or standing.
• May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
